The Partnership for New York City has named Anthony Thompson, New York Market President for Yuvo Health, among the 2024 class of David Rockefeller Fellows. The immersive one-year program instructs business executives in how to make better decisions, deliver services, and exercise power in the nation’s largest and most complex city.

Thompson, a resident of Roosevelt, Long Island, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from Berkeley College. In the 2024 class, he joins industry thought leaders from diverse companies including McKinsey & Company, The Related Companies, KPMG, EY, and Pfizer.

“New York has always attracted the best and brightest minds, and there’s no better example than the 2024 class of David Rockefeller Fellows,” said Kathryn Wylde, President and CEO, Partnership for New York City. “These 36 engaged and civic-minded business leaders will use the skills and connections they acquire as a David Rockefeller Fellow to create a positive impact on our city. I look forward to seeing what they achieve in the years to come.”

The program was established as a tribute to the late David Rockefeller, the founder of the Partnership, who inspired generations of business leaders to become engaged in civic life. Since the program was established in 1989, nearly 600 executives have participated, many of whom have gone on to public and nonprofit service in the city, as well as C-suite positions in global corporations. The program features candid conversations with elected officials, commissioners of government agencies, heads of nonprofit institutions, and public policy experts.

“The David Rockefeller Fellows program is such an esteemed program, and being connected to the Partnership for New York City is a genuine privilege,” Thompson said. “This experience will help shape my focus as I work with teams across both the city and state to continue driving access to quality healthcare, especially in underserved communities and really for anyone who proudly calls New York City their home.”

In his role as New York Market President, Thompson is responsible for the network strategy, management, and viability of the New York market for Yuvo Health, an industry-leading healthcare organization that partners with community health centers to help them gain an advantage in value-based care. He credits Berkeley College with preparing him for career success.

“Berkeley College was instrumental in preparing me for active participation in my career advancement,” he said. “The education was great, but it was the robust resources available that ensured I knew how to grow and progress in my career, especially beyond graduation.”

Thompson encouraged today’s college-age students to build a network for mentorship and professional development.

“Take advantage of the resources around you – school, trusted peers, community-based organizations, all of it. Building your network will not only help inform your decisions as you navigate your post-graduation life, but leveraging it becomes an invaluable asset in developing your team, evaluating opportunities, and building partnerships.”
