Out of My Mind Review: Highlighting The Struggles Of The Voiceless
The production crew of the movie definitely did an amazing job with the way Melody’s character has been portrayed in the movie which does highlight the struggles and challenging aspects of her life but does not really victimize her character following the theme of “Differently-abled not Disabled”. Having no voice to communicate, Melody had to resort to pen and paper in order to express herself but that did not stop her. She discovered new ways in which she could communicate with the world around her that helped her express her true personality. The actress did exceptionally well in bringing Melody’s character to life as she portrayed the frustration of not being able to express herself in the best way. The voice of Jennifer Aniston which was used to voice the inner thoughts of Melody also added depth to her character.
Out Of My Mind Review: A Powerful Message
As the story of the movie develops, it efficiently highlights how often we ignore the talents and the possibility of a bright future for people just because of their exterior disability. The movie makes the audience rethink and reflect on their own actions as well when we see Melody struggling to be understood like those who can express themselves in ways she is unable to. It successfully delivers a powerful and clear message to the audience about how it is necessary for us to look past the disability of a person and consider their capabilities by not being biased toward the abled ones.
Out of Mind Review: Conclusion
Out of My Mind is an absolute must watch and the production crew indeed did a perfect job of portraying Melody and her struggles as a disabled woman which is considered rather difficult in the cinema industry as it is hard to depict the struggles and also make sure the movie does not degrade the disabled in any way. Out Of My Mind maintained a perfect balance between showing struggles as well as maintaining the dignity of the disabled, leaving a great impact on the audience and making it a treat to watch.
