NEW YORK CITY, NY – The highly anticipated Jamaica Arts & Music Summer Festival (JAMS) is back for its annual celebration of Southeast Queens’ rich history of musical talent, culture, and cuisine. Organized by the JAMS Planning Committee and hosted by Cultural Collaborative Jamaica (CCJ), this year’s festival promises to be a weekend filled with family-friendly activities, delicious food vendors, and live entertainment. “This is more than just a street festival,” said Tyra Emerson. Executive Director, Cultural Collaborative Jamaica. “It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural tapestry of Southeast Queens while enjoying some of the best music, art, and food that the community has to offer.”
The festivities kick off on August 3rd at 6 PM with “JAMS Under The Stars,” followed by the official street festival on August 4th from 11 AM to 6 PM. Spanning over 10 blocks and closed to vehicular traffic, JAMS is expected to attract over 150,000 residents and visitors from the tristate area.“Jamaica Arts & Music Summer Festival has become a cornerstone event in our community,” said Casel Lee, Queens Resident. “It’s a testament to the members of the JAMS Planning Committee commitment to celebrating diversity through arts and culture.”
In addition to showcasing local talent and cuisine, JAMS offers essential educational resources and employment opportunities for attendees. For nearly three decades, JAMS has been exceeding expectations by providing a unique escape from everyday life through its extraordinary street festival experience.
