A celebration of the life and work of Sister Jocelyn C. Cooper, social worker, political activist, pioneer who helped launch the campaign that created the Congressional District first won by Shirley Chisholm, co-founder of The City Sun with the late Andy Cooper, and tireless educator.

Sister Cooper died Dec. 21 at the age of 86.

Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Building #92 Brooklyn Navy Yard, 63 Flushing Ave., at the intersection of Carlton Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y.,

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

Free parking available at Brooklyn Navy Yard. G train to Clinton/Washington Ave. Continue on Clinton until you get to Flushing Ave., make a left on Flushing Ave. and continue until you arrive at Building #92 on your right.
