T. Paul Vs A. Zverev Match Highlights 

Alexander Zverev faced Tommy Paul on the 21st of January 2025 to secure a place in the semi-finals of the tournament. Zverev won the first set of the game with a tiebreak. This was after Paul served the set at 6-5. The second set had Paul leading 4-2 and Zverev almost knocked out because of a feather disruption. This almost led to Zverev having a meltdown. However, he still managed to bounce back and ended up forcing the set to a tiebreak.

Paul then served for a set at 5-3 and earned a set point on Zverev’s serve. However, the duo went for another tiebreak and Zverev came out victorious. Paul responded in the third set by earning 3 points on serve at 5-2. But the setback was short-lived as Zverev ultimately defeated Paul and secured the semi-finals position.

N. Djokovic Vs C. Alcaraz Match Highlights 

Novak Djokovic faced Carlos Alcaraz on the 21st of January 2025 to earn a place in the semifinals. This was definitely considered one of the biggest clashes for the night. The first point of the night went to N. Djokovic. However, Alcaraz clinched the first set 6-4 after Djokovic took a medical time-out. 

Despite injury, Djokovic displayed exceptional talent and earned the first point of the second set. After a long battle, Djokovic clinched the second set 6-4. He also managed to take an early advantage for the third set and took the lead by 2-1. The third set ended with Djokovic maintaining a 6-3 lead. Djokovic also fairly dominated the last set and clinched it 6-4. The match ended with Djokovic emerging as the winner and the second semifinalist.

C. Gauff Vs P. Badosa Match Highlights 

Coco Gauff faced Paul Badosa on the 21st of January 2025 for a place in the semifinals. It was Badosa’s first quarter-final in the Australian Open and she definitely aced it. The Spanish tennis player dominated both the sets. The first set ended with Badosa earning 7 points leaving behind Gauff who earned 5. The second set ended with Badosa earning 6 points while Gauff managed only 4. Badosa emerged as the winner of the match as well as a confirmed semifinalist.

A. Sabalenka Vs A. Pavlyuchenkova Match Highlights 

Aryna Sabalenka faced Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on the 21st of January 2025 to earn an entry in the semifinals. The match was a neck-to-neck thriller that kept the audience guessing and even delayed the much-anticipated Djokovic-Alcaraz face-off. Sabalenka dominated the first set with it ending at 6-2. However, Pavlyuchenkova made a comeback in the second set earning 6 points leaving behind Sabalenka at 2. Sabalenka did not give up and managed to earn 6 points in the 3rd set while  Pavlyuchenkova earned only 3. Sabalenka emerged as the winner of the match and another semifinalist.

Australian Open 2025 Updates For 21st January: Men’s Doubles 

The first match in the men’s doubles category was between S. Bolelli – A. Vavassori and N. Borges – F. Cabral. The former duo dominated the first set earning 6 points while the latter earned 4. The second ended up with a tiebreak. The Italian duo clinched the tiebreak earning 7 points while the latter earned 4. 

The second match in the men’s doubles category was between M. Arévalo – M. Pavić and S. Verbeek – A. Goransson. The latter clinched the first set at 4-6 while the former dominated the second set at 6-4. The final third set ended at 3-6 earning the latter duo a place in the semifinals.

Australian Open 2025 21st January: Women’s Doubles

The first match in the women’s doubles was between R. Zarazúa – M. Kato and E. Routliffe – G. Dabrowski. The latter dominated both the sets at 6-3 and 6-2 earning it a spot in the semifinals.

The second match in the women’s doubles was between E. Ruse – M. Kostyuk and J. Ostapenko – S. Hsieh. The latter dominated the first set at 2-6 while the former clinched the second set at 7-5. The former emerged as a winner and the semifinalist after clinching the third set at 5-7. 

Australian Open 2025: Mixed Doubles 

The first match in the mixed doubles category was between A. Molteni – A. Muhammad and M. Venus – E. Routliffe. The latter emerged as the winner and semifinalist after losing the first set at tiebreak but bouncing and dominating the next two sets at 1-6 and 5-10. 

The second match in the mixed doubles category was between H. Patten – O. Nicholls and I. Khromacheva – J. Withrow. The former dominated both the sets at 6-2 and emerged as the winner and the semifinalist.

The third match in the mixed doubles category was between J. Peers – O. Gadecki and R. Bopanna – S. Zhang. The latter dominated the first set at 2-6 but the former bounced back clinching the second at 6-4. The former also dominated the third set at 11-6 emerging as the winner and the semifinalist.

The fourth match in the mixed doubles category was between K. Krawietz – E. Perez and K. Birrell -J. Smith. The latter clinched the first set at 2-6 while the former dominated the second at 6-3.
