Nikki Giovanni Poems: An Icon of African American Literature

Nikki Giovanni is the most famous African American poet of all time; she was born on 7th June 1943. She was a poet, writer, critical theorist, activist and educator. She has published many poems and also published many poetry recordings and nonfiction essays which were on race, class, and other social issues. She is always inspired by his writing and educates their readers about the social issues prevailing in society. She was awarded Outstanding Seven NAACP Image Awards and also nominated for a Grammy award she was also a finalist for the National Book award she also has authored 3 New York Times and Los Angeles time bestsellers she is a mind-blowing writer and poet. In childhood, she was extremely close with their grandparents and spent most of her time with them but after they died she suffered a lot of tough times. In the 1960s she was one of the leading writers of the Black arts movement from which she gained frame.
