LOS ANGELES — Hollywood Television veteran Mattie C. Caruthers is back with My Sisters and Me, a half-hour comedy about three generations of ageless and vivacious Black sisters who must live under the same roof – without killing each other. My Sisters and Me will be released on the YouTube channel beginning Thursday, January 18, 2024. For thirteen (13) weeks, a new 3-minute webisode will be aired.
My Sisters and Me is a show about family, love, and relationships, starring renowned actress Ellia English, who plays Ellia the naïve youngest sister, who has lived in the family home since birth and enjoys the quiet and comfortable life she’s made herself. When her bossy older sister Lena, played by Stephanie Spruill, and spoiled middle sister T-Ann, played by T-Ann Snaer, return to the childhood home they love and own together they disrupt Ellia’s quiet life with their shenanigans.

Ellia English has had an indelible impact in Television, Theater, Film, and Jazz Clubs, from her memorable television roles as Auntie Rae on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, Aunt Helen on The Jamie Foxx Show, Mary Lou Wentz on Disney’s Good Luck Charlie, Henny on Lifetime’s Movie of The Week Petals On The Wind, and as Nurse Isabel Mendez on CBS’s Code Black. Her feature film roles include Nurse Alice in My Sister’s Keeper, Reba in Good Luck Chuck, Ms. Quincy in Semi-Pro, and Mona in Cornered {For which she won the 2009 Best Actress Award at the New York City Horror Film Festival}, Lynn in Matchups, and Marva in Wildcats.
Stephanie Spruill is a Grammy-winning artist and singer/songwriter who has performed, recorded, or toured with legendary performers including Michael Jackson, Julio Iglesias, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, and Barbra Streisand.
She has acted or sung on movie soundtracks for American Hot Wax, Amistad, The Breakfast Club, Dances with Wolves, Forrest Gump, Mighty Joe Young and appeared in TV series Beyond Belief, Entertainment Tonight, Married With Children and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
T-Ann Snaer is a poet, chef, nutritionist, and lifeguard. She has worked as a high-end nutritionist and chef for some of the country’s top spas and resorts and was well-known for her Creole flair and cooking. She is the author of Southern Style Healthy Cooking and a food consultant/nutritionist in the entertainment industry.

Mattie C. Caruthers is the creative force – writer, producer, and director – behind MY Sisters and Me. She is a veteran director, producer, and writer of television sitcoms. Her credits include Script Supervisor and Director with Damon Wayans on My Wife and Kids, Associate Director with Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Jamie Foxx on The Jamie Foxx Show. She was Associate Director on Let’s Stay Together, Cuts, Keenan & Kel, The Parent ‘Hood, and Sinbad.
Mattie worked with Norman Lear as a writer’s assistant and studied under the watchful eyes of some of the industry’s most outstanding directors, such as Andy Cadiff, Joel Zwick, Andy Ackerman, Debbie Allen, Jamie Widdoes, Shelley Jensen, and Ken Whittingham. Her television directorial debut on My Wife and Kids earned Mattie a 2006 NAACP Image Award Nomination for Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series and a 2005 BET Nomination.
Mattie has worked on a variety of hit movies, TV shows, and commercials alongside Eddie Murphy, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Pryor, Garry Marshall, Danny Glover, Tom Hank, Betty White, and Quincy Jones, among others. Mattie is the recipient of the 2007 Award of Achievement from the African American Film Marketplace and S.E Manly Short Film Showcase.
