The People’s Organization For Progress is having a press conference concerning the racial profiling of the 14 year-old Black teen Z’kye Husain by Bridgewater police during the Bridgewater Mall incident.

The press conference will take place tomorrow, Saturday, February 19, 2022, 12 noon in front of the Bridgewater Police Department, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater Township, New Jersey.

Speakers at the press conference will include leaders from the People’s Organization For Progress and other civil rights and grassroots organizations.

“We are having this press conference to publicly condemn the police response to the Bridgewater Mall fight and how they interacted with Z’kye Husain, a fourteen year-old African-American teenager. We believe the way they handled the situation was a case of racial profiling and police brutality,” stated Lawrence Hamm, Chairman, People’s Organization For Progress.
