Starting this year, the MCU will move further in phase 5, bringing new characters, new arcs, and more focus on multiverses. Even though it consists of only several movies and series, Phase 5 is built to continue the adventure in MCU.
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Phase 5 kicks off with Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. This film re-introduces Paul Rudd as Scott Lang Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne The Wasp back into the big screen. With Hope’s parents, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), they enter the unexplored Quantum Realm.

Loki Season 2
Next up is Loki Season 2. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role of Loki, alongside Owen Wilson’s Mobius, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Hunter B-15. In this season Loki contended with the power struggle of TVA, exploring the concept of the multiverse. While the show mainly takes place outside of the main timeline, it picks up where Season 1 left off and includes references to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
Phase 5 also consists of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 recharge. The favorite Guardian squad, with Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista as Drax returns again to protect the universe. In this film, Peter Quill is mourning for Gamora and the team has put their all to rescue one of their own.
Secret Invasion
Secret Invasion came back in the picture again, this time around focusing on, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) particularly. The series centers around Fury who discovers an undercover sleuth invasion of the earth by the aliens called the Skrulls. Assisted by its associates including Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) as well as Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), Fury works hard to prevent the invasion.

The Marvels
In The Marvels, Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) gets company from Monica Rambeau portrayed by Teyonah Parris, and Ms. Marvel portrayed by Iman Vellani. This movie focuses on how the two characters are related as well as warfare against a new enemy. It is to be placed at the end of 2026 and takes place after the Secret Invasion. Audiences will see lots of action, laughter, and the occasional tear as these three strong females team up to save the galaxy.
Deadpool and Wolverine
Another exciting movie for Phase 5 is the movie Deadpool & Wolverine. In this movie, Ryan Reynolds portrays Deadpool, and Wolverine is again portrayed by Hugh Jackman In this storyline, the events take place in the TVA and in another timeline. It is believed that this flick is set to bring out more chaos and comedy, and of course, deliver great action, as the Deadpool series continues in the MCU.
Conclusion
Phase 5 of MCU has many new interesting stories and new characters. With Loki and Ant-Man exploring the multiverse, and The Marvels featuring hero combinations, audiences are in for some new twists and more exciting events. As old faces and new heroes pile on, the phase is set on taking the MCU into newer paths paving the way for Bigger events yet to come.
