Mayor Eric Adams’ booty-licking overtures to Donald Trump may’ve just saved his Black behind from being buried behind bars.
Adams’ bargain with the devil paid dividends this week when Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove sent the DOJ’s Southern District of New York a memo saying the indictment against the mayor was to be dismissed “without prejudice.” This signals if Adams doesn’t behave himself—and do whatever Trump wants—the charges can be revisited.
Adams will now be required to kneel, bend over, and grovel to please Trump.
Slimy birds of a feather do flock together. And so, New York City now has a neutered Negro as a MAGA mayor.
For some time now, it has been quite clear Adams was not so secretly begging Trump for help to stop the prosecution he was facing. When he was indicted, Adams claimed he wanted his day in court. But this week, he was thanking Trump’s DOJ for protecting him.
If Adams wants New Yorkers to believe he is innocent, why not demand the prosecution against him proceed so he could clear his name conclusively?
Of course, given the conviction track record of the Southern District (which just sent former New Jersey Senator Bob “Gold Bars” Menendez to prison) it is quite evident Adams feared going into that court. If he did, he probably would’ve ended up with R. Kelly or Puff Daddy as a cellmate buddy.
Reading between the lines, the memo basically tells us Trump wants Adams’ help in pushing his racist anti-immigrant agenda. The relevant part, of the memo, states: “the pending prosecution has unduly restricted Mayor Adams’ ability to devote full attention and resources to the illegal immigration and violent crime that escalated under the policies of the prior Administration. We are particularly concerned about the impact of the prosecution on Mayor Adams’ ability to support critical, ongoing federal efforts to ‘protect the American people from the disastrous effects of unlawful mass migration and resettlement.”
It must be kept in mind that New York City is a sanctuary city. Trump will no doubt use Adams to undermine the protections the city has implemented to protect immigrants. And since Adams has zero integrity he will abide by the wishes of his new Massa: Trump.
Eric Adams is now a sad disgrace and embarrassment to Black New Yorkers. The other day, he was telling New York City officials not to criticize Trump and not to interfere in immigration enforcement. Moronically, before telling these officials to abstain from utilizing their First Amendment Right, against a corrupt convict president, Adams was telling us he made a deal with Trump not to publicly criticize Trump.
Therefore, are we really surprised Trump came to Adams’ aid?
Adams is now vowing to regain the trust of New Yorkers. The question here is: will enough Black and Latino New Yorkers back this bum in his reelection campaign? Ironically, the only reason Adams likely wasn’t removed as mayor, by Governor Kathy Hochul, is because he still sadly has some support from the Black and Latino communities—that he has betrayed the most.
This Black-skin Benedict Arnold fought the New York City Council on the issue of solitary confinement; tried to get the 2019 bail reform bill weakened; while sending then NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg to complain about Bragg’s pledge not to prosecute low-level crimes. This Judas mayor also vetoed new police reform legislation but saw his veto overridden and promoted the New York “Cop City” Plan, while slashing city services.
But when he was indicted, he was surrounded by Black clergy and the like to defend him. But who was absent in coming to his defense? The police union brass apologists, who love brutalizing and killing Black people, and the other whites who he really works for.
But now Adams has another boss: America’s first convict president. And isn’t it interesting that the felon president saved Adams from becoming a felon himself. At least for now.
Why didn’t Trump instruct his DOJ minions to dismiss the charges against Adams “with prejudice,” which would mean the charges couldn’t be brought again? By doing this, Trump has maximum leverage against Adams as these charges will hang over Adams’ head like the proverbial Sword of Damocles.
Mayor Adams will obviously be expected to assist Trump in undermining New York’s laws regarding immigration. However, we should also imagine that Trump will use Adams in his revenge schemes against those in New York who embarrassed him, particularly in the legal cases he faced and where he was convicted on 34 counts. Also, we should not be surprised if bootlick Adams is used as a not-so-secret spy to gain intelligence against personalities like: Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, columnist E. Jean Carroll, and others.
To save his own ass, Eric Adams has now been forced into a submission position by Donald Trump. And whether we like it or not, Mayor Eric Adams is now officially Donald Trump’s bitch.
