A man was badly injured after he jumped from a subway platform and onto the tracks at the 169th street station in Jamaica Hills. The incident occurred around 11a.m.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Jamaica hospital for his injuries.

Police at the scene did not immediately release the victim’s information until the family was notified.

Witnesses at the scene said they heard someone scream, “A man fell onto the tracks! Get some help.”

The Manhattan-bound F train service at the station was temporarily shut down and resumed service on an express schedule after the victim had been taken to the hospital.

A police spokesman said they are investigating the incident.
