Beautiful actress and model MaameYaa Boafo Abiah hopes to bag her own medal on behalf of Ghana, not in the London2012 Olympics but in the photo contest hosted by BHF magazine.
BHF magazine is a publication that highlights African women with emphasis on contemporary African fashion. The magazine’s photo contest is called the “I Am African” digital photo contest. All the reader need do is click on the link below: click “Like” to BHF in order to vote for MaameYaa’s picture and voila it’s all done.
MaameYaa is also in a film that’s being shot in her native Ghana– it’s about the Ghanaian folktale of “Kwaku Ananse.” Scenes from the film can be viewed on its kickstarter campaign page.
Ghana was on the news recently following the sudden death of its president, John Atta Mills. “I’m proud of where I’m from,” says MaameYaa “and in the midst of the sadness and loss of our President, we are a strong and supportive nation with so much to offer and so much to preserve.”
