Local 372-New York City Board of Education Employees, is proud to endorse Ken Thompson for Brooklyn District Attorney.

“Ken Thompson has a proven history of serving the community and fighting for justice for all New Yorkers.  From ensuring justice for Abner Louima as prosecuting Assistant United States Attorney to representing Nafissatou Diallo, the hotel housekeeper who reported that she was sexually assaulted in a Manhattan hotel room by the infamous Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Ken showed us he will stand for justice.  A product of the public school system, Ken is an inspiration and role model for all our children” said Pamela Armstrong, Chairperson, Local 372 Political Action Committee.

Santos Crespo, Jr., President of Local 372, said: “Ken Thompson will be a great District Attorney.  As a prosecutor, Ken has successfully convicted violent felons, and in private practice, Ken has protected victims from powerful people and institutions.  Ken has the experience and heart we need in a District Attorney.”

Local 372-New York City Board of Education Employees, is the largest local within District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, and represents 26,000 workers throughout NYC’s public schools.

“I would like to thank the hardworking men and women of Local 372 for their support,” said Thompson.  “As a product of NYC’s public schools, I know that we owe a debt of gratitude to all of the folks who help make this city a better place to live, grow up and raise a family. As Brooklyn DA, I will stand up for working people by ensuring that our streets are safer and our communities are stronger.”
