Lindsay Lohan is once again stepping into the rom-com genre with “Our Little Secret”. Lindsay Lohan has proved herself as a pivotal character in comedy movies. Director Stephen Herek has mastered making films that one can watch with his family, this movie did not match the criteria of any other Hollywood movie, this masterpiece is more about awakened less than holiday cheer.
Review of Stephen Herek’s Our Little Secret
The story begins with the setup of 1996, where Lindsay Logan and Ian Harding, portraying the character of Avery and Logan are friends from babyhood and fell in love, but in 2014 Avery went to London to settle her life and started a new job. The distance between them led to a breakup, the movie did not explain why a career opportunity led to a breakup in the future.
In the present day, both Avery and Logan moved on in their life along with their new partners, Avery’s new boyfriend Cameron and Logan’s new girlfriend Cassie. In the story came when both Avery and Logan came to know that they are siblings on the very eve of Christmas when they faced each other under one roof. With resolved feelings between their families, both Avery and Logan now pretend that they were never a perfect couple.
Writer Hailey DeDominicis and director Stephen Herek tried their best to make Our Little Secret a comedy movie. Starting From Avery’s speech in the church along with Logan delivering a grounded performance. Supporting characters also played the best role in keeping Avery and Logan’s secret, followed by many misunderstandings and chaos on the very eve of Christmas.

Conclusion
Our Little Secret is the best attempt of Hailey DeDominicis and Stephen Herek to make it a comedy movie, however, the movie doesn’t touch the exact mark. It is not a totally entertaining movie, nor is it a romantic movie that will satisfy the fans of romantic movies. It’s all about a small affair, between the characters who were siblings but they didn’t know about it at the start of the story but they got to know about it at the end of the story.
However, the big question is will the studios allow these kinds of mid-budget movies for theatre release in the future also. Our Little Secret is a kind of guilty pleasure rather than a good festive favorite. It is the third collaboration of Lindsay Lohan with Netflix. Maybe Our Little Secret is not the most memorable piece but it is definitely a harmless entertainer that one must give it a watch.
