The concert will raise money for additional relief supplies and services for Puerto Rico. The island was hit with a powerful 6.4-magnitude tremblor, the biggest earthquake to hit Puerto Rico in a century, last Tuesday, Jan. 7, centering just off the island’s southwest coast. A 5.9-magnitude aftershock hit last Saturday, Jan. 11. Another 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit Thursday.

Seismologists report more than 502 earthquakes – 1.5-magnitude or larger – in the past seven days.

A New York delegation of elected leaders, led by Governor Andrew Cuomo and Borough President Diaz Jr., toured the island’s hardest-hit municipalities Tuesday delivering emergency first aid kits, radios, blankets, masks, and gloves.

The concert, under the musical direction of Bobby Allende, will showcase live concert performances from an array of jazz, salsa, merengue, and guaracha artists. Tickets start at $25, $50, $60 and $65, and can be purchased at www.LEHMANCENTER.ORG or at the box office.
