On Earth Day, April 22nd, Harlem’s Fashion Row hosted its 4th Annual Sustainability Forum—an afternoon that left us moved, challenged, and deeply inspired. Held at the iconic Soho House Brooklyn and presented by our Title Sponsor, H&M, this year’s forum was a gathering of truth-tellers, industry leaders, and cultural visionaries redefining the future of fashion.

This wasn’t just another event. It was a space where ideas became strategy, where honesty met innovation, and where community anchored every conversation.

Voiced That Sparked Change

From Jeffrey Costello discussing the role of AI and the complexity of sustainability, to Macy’s sharing lessons from over a decade of designer education and access, each voice brought truth, experience, and real-world insight.

Ngozi Okaro, Dominique Drakeford, BruceGlen, Kevin Leonel, Sara Kozlowski, Nandi Howard, the Ogun sisters, and many others filled the room with substance—reminding us that sustainability is about more than product. It’s about process. It’s about people.

And in a beautiful, tangible act of circularity, FABSCRAP donated 25 lbs. of reclaimed fabric—giving life to future stories not yet told.

A Commitment to Action

One of the most defining conversations came from Randi Marshall, Head of Sustainability & Public Affairs at H&M Americas. In her session, “Inside H&M: Embedding Sustainability into H&M’s DNA,” she shared how H&M is actively transforming its impact.

From a $5 billion pledge toward sustainability to navigating the evolving world of global policy, Randi highlighted that sustainability must be adaptive, rooted in accountability, and backed by meaningful investment. We are incredibly grateful for H&M’s continued partnership and their willingness to lead from the front.
