Israeli officials are claiming Hamas leader Yahyah Sinwar has been killed in battle, a long-expected yet seismic event.
As the news was breaking, I interviewed my colleague Jeremy Scahill this morning on Breaking Points on the meaning and significance of the development, which remains to be formally confirmed, though all indications suggest the reporting is accurate. You can watch that interview here.
Make sure to read Jeremy’s report from July, “On the Record With Hamas,” which includes extensive details on Sinwar’s life and role in Hamas. It was the very first article Drop Site published.
(If you don’t already know, I co-host a Wednesday and Friday morning news program on the Breaking Points channel, but also chip in on segments when news is breaking.)
