The filming was started long ago in June 2023 but due to some reasons it was suspended in July, but it is good to hear that the filming was resumed in late November/early December of 2023. So the release in November 2024 is quite acceptable.

After watching Gladiator season 1, it is very clear that we won’t be able to see Maximus Decimus Meridius in Gladiator’s season 2, but it is very good to hear that the replacement of this original leading character is very similar to the older one. We will see Lucius’s home is captured by General Marcus Acacius, and he has thrown Lucius into a life of slavery. With all the determination Lucius is fighting as Gladiator in order to take revenge for his family in the arena. Maximus’s son also resists Caracalla and Geta.

After 24 years, when we witnessed that trailer of Gladiator 2, it feels like it was worth waiting for. In this movie, we will witness everything like betrayal, revenge, and survival. As the movie progresses we take a deep into an ancient room battle sequence that introduces us to Paul Mescal who is playing the role of Lucius. This is not the ancient Rome that used to be romanticized in season 1 but a brutal Empire that is ruled by imperialists who are cruel.
Ridley Scott leaves no chance to showcase the ancient Roman environment with the deadly performance of the movie’s outstanding cast. With the amazing plot, viewers were totally stuck in the movie. Ridley Scott’s unique way of portraying the movie’s strongest characters is really commendable. Scott also draws a clear line between protagonist and antagonist that makes onlookers decide whether they hate the hero or are hoping for his win.
