Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that immigration deportation flights from the ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ facility, in the Everglades have begun.

DeSantis said that around 100 detainees had been flown out to other countries. DeSantis stated that, “You’re going to see the numbers go up dramatically.”
The Department of Homeland Security oversees the deportation flights.
The Trump White House is said to love the Alligator Alcatraz facility due to its deterrent remoteness and the fact that the area is filled with alligators. The facility has been characterized as inhumanely cruel.
The Alcatraz labeling is apparently due to Trump’s fixation with the now closed notoriously infamous Alcatraz San Francisco Bay prison facility, which was operated from 1934 to 1963. Trump reportedly wants to reopen it.
Beside sending these Alligator Alcatraz detainees to the mega-prison in El Salvador, the administration has also sent others to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Alligator Alcatraz now holds some 2,000 detainees and its capacity will allegedly be doubled.
