CESAR’S LAST FAST, in theatrical release next month, is a documentary film directed by Richard Ray Perez.
Using archive footage personal interviews from Chavez’ closest peers, Perez brings the untold story of this civil rights leaderto the big screen. Inspired by Catholic social teaching, Cesar Chavez risked his life fighting for America’s poorest workers.
The film illuminates the intensity of one man’s devotion and personal sacrifice, the birth of an economic justice movement, and tells an untold chapter in the story of civil rights in America.
The film had its world premiere earlier this year, at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. It will open theatrically in New York and Los Angeles:
April 18th – New York at the Quad Theater
April 25th – Los Angeles at the Pasadena Playhouse.
