It’s finally here — Congo in Harlem 14 kicks off this Friday!

We have a great first weekend of films and events. The full program can be found at www.congoinharlem.org. Highlights from the opening weekend are below. All events are free, but we highly recommend reserving tickets to ensure a seat. And if you cannot make it in person, much of the program will be available for streaming on our website.

Please spread the word far and wide! It makes a huge difference and is one of the best ways you can support our series.

Opening Weekend Highlights:

On Friday, October 14th @ 7:30PM, we begin our series with THE RUMBA KINGS, an exploration of the popular Congolese music that has moved the world. Following the screening there will be a Q&A with Congo in Harlem contributor and cultural programmer, Lubangi Muniania, who just happens to be one of the experts in the film.

The showcase is centered around two short films by the multi-talented filmmaker and artist MALIYAMUNGU MUHANDE.
