Elon Musk: Project 2025 is an initiative taken by The Heritage Foundation for the transitioning of the federal government. Although the organization claims to work to reshape the federal government, the plans are quite contradictory.
The format of Project 2025 states that the executive branch would be under the President’s authority. Notably, the government agencies anticipated to be under the control of the President are- the Department of Justice, FBI, Department of Commerce, etc. It encourages ending the diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. It also includes the launching of an anti-white racism policy.

Elon Musk is Donald Trump’s adviser and now the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This has sparked controversies about him getting involved in government affairs.
Elon Musk has recently shown a sudden interest in political activities. He’s accused of working with Trump on Project 2025. However, Trump is the main suspect in being a part of this project. Even after he denies this several times, people are not ready to believe this due to the similarity in the policies of the paper and Trump’s ideology.
Russell Vought, the former director of Office Management and Budget, is said to be a part of drafting policies of Project 2025. Elon Musk is implementing the policies drafted by him. So, this explains the sudden political interference by him.

As the head of DOGE, Musk is said to be uprooting the agencies he does not encourage. Curiously, he is using his connections and powers to take on the federal government. Oil and fuel policies are released. In addition, he is found criticizing climate-related taxes and subsidies which are not beneficial to him.
Professional Challenges
Due to his increased political activities, he is facing a backlash. People are organizing boycott movements against Tesla to show their frustration. In addition, the profits of Tesla have dropped by around 71%, according to the reports.
All these movements have resulted in negative effects on his company. To control the criticism, Musk is taking a backstep from his responsibilities at DOGE. In this reference, he is said to be reducing his commitment to two to three days, in effect from May 2025.
Conclusion
Project 2025 looks more like a program to bring autocracy to America. Trump’s associated people working in the administration are found to be involved in its drafting.
Elon Musk being a fall guy is unproven. On the other hand, the implementation of policies similar to the project has raised suspicions in the air. Either he wants to dominate in the market using his powers and strategies or he is serving an even bigger cause.
