Earth Wind & Fire’s Philip Bailey To Hold Dec. 3 Foster Youth Benefit

Earth, Wind & Fire lead singer Philip Bailey’s Music Is Unity (MIU) Foundation will kick-off the holiday season with its first annual virtual fundraiser to benefit foster youth.

The benefit gala will be sponsored by Woodford Reserve and includes a special holiday performance by the Grammy Award-winning music icon. Hosted by Washington, DC’s DJ Sheesh and DJ Flava, aka Rudy Davis, the evening will feature a fun-filled make-your-own cocktail reception, wine tasting with Mount Peak Wineries viticulturist Brenae Royal, plus an audience-led Q&A with Mr. Bailey on Thursday, December 3 at 7 pm, EST.

Proceeds from the Music Is Unity Virtual Holiday Gala will benefit foster youth in drastic need of care, food, shelter, and other resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds will be distributed to non-profit foster care agencies including, Foster Youth in ActionRise Above Foundation: HomeElevating Connections Home | Kids In The Spotlight Beyond Emancipation.

Founded in 2007 by Philip Bailey and his daughter Trinity Bailey, the Music Is Unity Foundation (MIU) is a leading non-profit dedicated to helping young people thrive as they transition out of the foster system. The organization provides financial support to numerous non-profit agencies that provide programming and support to help foster youth transition successfully into adulthood. MIU offers grants, scholarships, and access to music education through its Backstage Soundcheck program.
