They plan to drown her to cover her tracks.
Eventually, Fela shows up to help Tony and Kevin. This shows her involvement in the scheme to kill Rodney. They tie Marley up and plan to dump her in the lake. However, a police officer warns them about the shallow tides as they attempt to go deeper into the water. Kevin panics and shoots the officer to silence him.
As they throw Marley into the water with weights to make her sink, something unexpected happens. The sedative begins to wear off, and Markey regains enough strength to escape. She hides until he can access the boat’s flare gun. She shoots Kevin and Tony in an act of self-defense. Moreover, she secures her evidence. In the end, Marley exposes the truth and clears Caleb’s name.
