Judith Suminwa Tuluka, an economist, has been appointed as the first female Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She is taking over from Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and previously served as the planning minister. Tuluka’s main focus will be on peace and development efforts, with special attention given to the conflict-ridden eastern provinces.
