New Heritage Theatre Group’s Artist in Residence Daniel Beaty, actor, playwright, director is an Audelco, NAACP, and OBIE award winner. Beaty is creating magic with two phenomenal presentations at Lincoln Center.
In 2011, New Heritage co-produced Mr. Joy with the Riverside Theatre, in Harlem, where the play was critically acclaimed.
Mr. Joy is a hilarious and heart warming exploration of one communities’ journey to heal in order to dream again and discover boundless joy. We are pleased that Mr. Beaty continues to collaborate with our Harlem based cultural institutions, the renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem, to produce and create new and inspiring works of art.
