“Not even a little bit,” was Donald Trump’s recent response to a reporter’s question about whether Americans’ financial struggles were motivating him to make a deal with Iran to stop the war he launched with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump added “The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran — they can’t have a nuclear weapon. I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody. I think about one thing — we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all.”

Is ignoring the financial problems of working Americans how Trump plans to Make America Great Again?

Some of us have long known Donald Trump doesn’t really care about the financial well-being of Americans. This includes the racist right-wingers in the MAGA movement, who Trump uses for his benefit. However, it is quite stunning to hear him say so publicly on video to a White House reporter.

This convicted criminal conman, who is now debasing the American Presidency, says he is a “America First” president. So, why, unlike all the previous presidents before him, did he sign on to the foreign policy genocidal dictates of Netanyahu, and his forty-year warmongering agenda against Iran?

We must seriously consider the sentiment some are now discussing: that the Israeli government has compromising dirt on Trump– possibly, related to the sordid sex-trafficking world of Jeffrey Epstein, who may have been a spy.

As the global economy continues to suffer from the negative fallout from the Iran War, especially, because of the closing of the Strait of Hormuz, Trump continues to mentally meltdown right before our very eyes. How can any president so flagrantly say he isn’t concerned about the kitchen-table issues hurting Americans, months before an election?

As we all know, gas prices are rising across America. Nationally, gas prices stands at $4.50 per gallon. In California, it stand at $6. 14 per gallon, with some places, in the state, recording prices over $7.00 dollars.

Along with the increase of oil and gas, the cost of living is getting out-of-control for many Americans. Moreover, this was the case even before Trump started this war of aggression, importantly, due to his disastrous tariff policy. Will this Iran War be the proverbial straw that breaks the backs of Trump and the Republican Party, as the fury of Americans, including some in MAGA, ferments? We shall soon see.

Let us further analyze Trump’s response of “not even a little bit.”

Trump (seen above with his father Fred) is a man who was born as a filthy spoiled rich kid in New York City. Because of his luxurious upbringing, on white privilege, he has no reference point of what it means to truly work for a living. How can anyone think Trump has any understanding of the struggling issues that working Americans face daily? The fact that a silver-spoon moron like this becomes a two-term president tells us much about the disease of racism that infects this country.

When Trump was first elected, some white progressives made the argument that economics, more than racism, was the reason why white Americans voted for a born-rich buffoon who bragged about grabbing women by the pussy. These folks claimed it was the Democrats abandonment of the white working class that caused the election of Trump.

This reasoning was flawed from the very beginning for several reasons.

First, of all, it ignored the clear despondency many white Americans had after the momentous election of the nation’s first Black President Barack Obama. Not long after Obama became president, Trump realized the anger of many of these racist white Americans, and how he could use it for political gain and power. Why do you think he decided to pursue a campaign of falsely proclaiming Obama was not an American citizen, but a Kenyan Muslim?

Trump seeing this politically played the race card with the fraudulent Birther birth-paper claim, and then extended his racism platform by lashing out against Muslims, and about the supposed invasion of Latino immigrants into America. This is why we now see him using ICE to snatch non-white immigrants off the streets, to the delight of MAGA.

It is certainly true Trump gave lip-service to dealing with economic issues. But let’s remember this economic issues in America have often been tied with attacks on American Blacks. This was the cause of many violent, bloody, and deadly, assaults on Black America. The names Black Wall Street, and Rosewood, are but two well known examples of this historic reality.

The cynical divide-and-conquer political strategy, of weaponizing racism, by white American politicians has always been used to push prejudice to gain power. Republicans have been the masters of this for the past several decades, The economic problems of white Americans was usually always blamed on Blacks–or other non-white people.

But even when there are legitimate economic concerns, racism is always the thing that animates whites, like those in MAGA, to act violently, or elect political arsonists like Donald Trump.

Think about this, even after telling us all he doesn’t care about our economic struggles, the majority of MAGA are still supporting him. If not racism, why?

Sadly, the only thing that will lose Trump a majority of MAGA support is if he renounces his prejudice–or more importantly, his racist political policies and agenda. As long as Trump retains racism he won’t lose his large following among MAGA “not even a little bit.”
