It is finally that time of the year again when all the Marvel, as well as all the Disney fans, come together awaiting the announcements related to their favorite characters and franchises made in the D23 event in Brazil. Just like any other year, the D23 event was full of many revelations and announcements, especially for the Marvel fans who have been eagerly waiting for the return of some of the major characters. This article brings you details about all the major announcements that were made at the D23 Brazil 2024 event that had the utmost attention of the fans.
Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Released
The release of a new trailer for the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World was one of the major highlights of the D23 Brazil 2024. The trailer had Giancarlo Esposito wearing an orange jumpsuit which indicated that he might have been arrested after he attempted assassination of the US President. But what sparked the curiosity of the audience was that it seemed as if he had been controlled by someone exactly how Winter Soldier was. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of a fight sequence between Sam and the Red Hulk that seemed fairly well done. Captain America: Brave New World will be released in the theaters on the 14th of February 2025.

Marvel Thunderbolts Special Look
D23 Brazil 2024 also gifted us with another major reveal as we got a few more clips from the upcoming Marvel Thunderbolts that revealed Bucky being the one who brought Valentina to the Stark Tower. We also got to see a few comical elements in the recently released clips that did not seem to be over the top at any point. It might be too soon to judge, but by far, everything about the movie seems to be just fine. Marvel Thunderbolts will be released in theaters all across the globe on the 2nd of May 2025.
What If Season 3: Storm’s Appearance
It’s been a while since the rumors of a major character appearing in the third season of the What If franchise have been doing rounds over the internet. The D23 Brazil 2024 event revealed that it would be none other than Storm who will be appearing in the series. The poster that was revealed at the event showcased Storm in the “R,” and according to certain reports, she will be using Mjolnir. The third season of What If will be released on the 22nd of December 2024.
Miles Morales Live-Action Announcement
The wait of the fans awaiting the appearance of their favorite character, Miles Morales, is finally over. Kevin Feige, the head of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, announced that the character will finally have its live-action movie after Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse has been released. Rumors of Morales joining the MCU have been doing rounds ever since Aaron Davis appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The official date or any further details about the release have not been made public by the production yet.
X-Men Joining The MCU
Feige, in the D23 Brazil 2024, made major revelations regarding the future timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that the X-Men would actually be a major part of the story leading to the Star Wars and also beyond it. In the event, he explained how, after the Avengers: Endgame, they reached the huge finale of their overall narrative. Therefore, they had to restart and plan everything all over again. He also revealed that this time, as they slowly move forward towards Star Wars, they have a clear idea of the story that will unfold till and beyond the epic climax in Star Wars and that the X-Men are an important part of the MCU future.
Return of The Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is known to be one of the most powerful female characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her return has already been teased enough by the latest Marvel series “Agatha All Along”. Fans have been coming up with crazy theories on how Wanda Maximoff can actually manage to return and it seems like all those theories have materialized as Feige, in the D23 Brazil 2024 event, also announced that the return of the Scarlet Witch is a possibility they have been working on. For now, we have no confirmation on when or exactly how she will return to the MCU, but the confirmation in itself has got the fans impatient for more details.

Reconfirmation of Blade
The release of Blade saw another delay, which gave way to many questions in the minds of the audience on whether or not Blade was even happening. In the D23 Brazil 2024, Feige confirmed that Blade is indeed happening, and Mahershala Ali will make a debut in the MCU soon. However, there is no information on when the project has been pushed back.
Tron Ares New Clip
The D23 Brazil 2024 event offered us an exclusive look at a new clip from the trailer of Tron Ares, also known as Tron 3. The franchise has seen huge success in the past, and those who attended the live event mentioned that Jared Leto actually looks pretty good in the role and the music for the movie will be done by “Nine Inch Tails,” which is exciting news for those who love the band. Ice Age 6 Under Production
Another major announcement made at the D23 Brazil 2024 event is that the children’s favorite Ice Age has officially been renewed for another sequel called Ice Age 6 which is already under production. Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Simon Pegg, and Denis Leary will be returning for another new adventure on the big screen. Andor Season 2 Release Date Announced
Now that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is slowly proceeding toward the massive Endgame-like climax in Star Wars, the official release date for the second part of Andor has finally been confirmed at the D23 Brazil 2024 event. The series will premiere on Disney+ on the 22nd of April 2025. Tony Gilroy revealed that Andor will be a story released in two parts and the second season will lead to the events we got to see in Rogue One.
