Culpa Tuya: Plot Synopsis
The plot of both the installments is based on a Wattpad trilogy published under the same titles. Mercedes Ron is the name of the original author. The events happening in the movie revolve around two teenagers named Noah and Nick who belong to wealthy families. Both the characters fall deeply in love. However, their relationship is severely opposed by their parents as they both are basically step-siblings. Nick’s father and Noah’s mother are married to each other making their relationship forbidden. The plotline follows both the characters fighting for their love and going through various challenges thrown their way.

What Happens In The Culpa Mia’s Sequel?
Culpa Tuya, the much-awaited sequel of the first installment released in 2023, opens with a time skip to one year later. Nick surprises Noah at a party and greets her with a kiss completely unbothered by the obvious judging glares from their parents. Soon after the perfect opening scene, we see both the leads going on a trip to enjoy their lives before both of them start building their careers. Nick trusts Noah but starts feeling uneasy when his friend Lion tells him how no one can be trusted jokingly. Therefore, Nick accepts the lavish apartment his grandfather offered him just because it is close to Noah’s college. Noah assumes Nick wishes to move in with her. But Nick didn’t seem ready for such commitment so Noah moved in with her roommate named Briar instead.
How Was Briar And Nick Connected?
Briar was Noah’s new roommate. When Nick visits Noah at her shared apartment and sees Briar for the first time his reaction is unexpected. He first froze as if shocked and then left the apartment in a hast. As the movie progressed, Briar told Noah that she had a boyfriend in the past. The couple used to spend time in bars and compete in illegal car races. However, when they met with an accident, Briar got severely injured. She never saw her boyfriend ever again even when she was discharged from the hospital after two years. That boyfriend, ladies and gentlemen, was none other than Nick. Briar was also pregnant at that time but Nick’s grandfather used his influence to get her institutionalized and she eventually lost the baby.

Anabel, Nick’s biological mother, revealed to Noah how Nick’s grandfather and his influence forced her to abandon Nick. Anabel was disloyal in her relationship with William, Nick’s father, and hence, his grandfather forced her to sign a divorce. At the same time, William was having an affair with Noah’s mother. The revelation broke her heart as she recalled the trauma she had to endure because of her mother’s absence. Anabel also explained that she tried to fight for her son but failed in front of his father’s influence. She even tried to stay in contact with Nick but he ended up ignoring her.
What Happened To Their Relationship In The End?
Noah was already frustrated after Nick kept silent on her accusations of being too close to Sofia, his coworker at his dad’s company. She asks for a break to which Nick tells he’s moving to London next week and she should decide about their relationship till then. In the next few days, all the characters gather together for a Gala where Anabel and Briar accuse Nick’s father of all the injustice done to them. Anabel also reveals that her daughter Maggie is also William’s. When Nick finds out it was Noah who helped Anabel uncover the truth, he feels betrayed. Accusing Noah of breaking his family, he ends the relationship and in a fit of rage kisses Sofia. The Climax Grave Scene
Culpa Tuya ended with both Nick’s father and Noah’s mother realizing how their selfishness ruined the lives of their children. Noah is seen frequenting her father’s grave. She wishes they had enough time to know more about her father. However, what’s important in the climax grave scene is her finding a note on the grave. The note was apparently from Nick who said he would be her light in the darkness. Nick could have left a note before or after the breakup that indicates there are still some unresolved feelings left.
