Monday, to mark the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus released the Official Caucus Photo for the 116th Congress.
“I am immensely proud of the strength and diversity of our Caucus as we begin this Hispanic Heritage Month. Standing on the steps of the House together, as one Caucus, was a profound moment. We have our largest Hispanic Caucus in the history of the US Congress, standing 38-members strong. Among us stand community organizers, doctors, immigrants, and mothers – members from across the country that represent all walks of life,” said Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20), Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
“In the 116th Congress, we gained 10 new members and doubled the number of Latinas, all of whom are already making an incredible impact on our democracy. As we move forward, we will stand united, fighting for our Hispanic communities and American values.”
