Defend freedom of speech. Let corporate giants like ABC know we will not tolerate catering to the Trump administration’s bullying, fascism, and attacks on free speech by boycotting ABC and its advertisers until Kimmel is restored to the airwaves. Threats by our FCC for someone voicing an opinion on the airwaves is unconstitutional and un-acceptable in a free country.
My Personal Experience with Political Violence and Media
As someone who formerly worked in broadcasting covering politics and candidates for many years, I experienced firsthand the impact of extreme rhetoric and political fanaticism during the last Trump administration. We were often labeled as “the enemy” by the President himself while at work simply covering his events and speeches, resulting in threats on our lives that forced us to have armed guards escort us back to our vehicles at then end of the day due to angry mobs. This included many colleagues who voted for Trump and were villainized and called the enemy by him for doing their job at his events. Zero television networks nor the FCC objected to his speech.
This environment, which allowed such divisive language on national platforms and continues to be allowed by the President today, ultimately drove me away from a career which I cherished, to ensure my own safety. In my belief in the first amendment I showed up daily for my job to relay the President’s words to the world, alongside a man in the crowd who was later arrested for sending bombs to several political targets on the left and in the media.
This is just one example of how fascism and extremism if allowed by one side, fosters fear or violence, and slowly destroys our rights and freedoms, including speech.
The unjust suspension of Jimmy Kimmel must be responded to.
Today, we face a similar injustice with the removal of the Jimmy Kimmel show from ABC’s airwaves as the President of our country freely uses our airwaves to politicize and blame only one side with no evidence, unchecked by any broadcast network because they’re afraid of Trump and his politicized FCC threats. God loving, free speech supporting Americans who do not in any way support the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but have an opinion that others may not agree with – will not stand for this corporate bowing down or double standard to an extremist and fascist leaning President.
Kimmel, a respected comedian and commentator, is being silenced for voicing his opinion about MAGA and Charlie Kirk — opinions shared by a majority of Americans. His comments were not rude, disrespectful, or celebratory; rather, they were part of his right to free speech, a cornerstone of our democracy which Charlie Kirk vehemently defended, and a common refrain from Kirk’s supporters after his death. Kimmel shared an opinion which millions of Americans agree with and gave us all a voice, and ABC and people who disagree have simply decided to silence us all out of fear and fealty to this administration.
Current Government and Media Bias
How is it disrespectful, offensive, or punishable to suggest an opinion that the extreme right played a role in this, if it’s not equally rude, insensitive and punishable when our President uses networks say the same of his opposition?
The President has frequently used equally, if not more, offensive language to blame and politicize this issue on national television without facing any repercussions or blowback. This double standard is not only unfair but also sets a dangerous precedent for freedom of speech in our country. By silencing Jimmy Kimmel, ABC is not just curtailing his rights but also undermining the values of open dialogue and free expression that our nation holds dear, as well as the shared opinion of millions of Americans on this matter.
We urge ABC to immediately restore the Jimmy Kimmel show to its programming and want them to know we will not allow this type of totalitarian rule to fester, and will not support TV networks that align only with one parties political agenda or bow to their demands. Let us show ABC and the nation that we support the first amendment and Jimmy Kimmel’s freedom to express his opinions, and use his platform to speak for our shared opinions, just as the President does. Let’s show ABC, their advertisers and their cowering executives that Americans will not stand by as free speech is eroded. Your voice matters in this fight for justice and equality.
There is as much disrespect and distaste in the President being allowed to repeatedly use broadcast platforms to suggest this is all the “radical left’s” fault, as anyone suggesting it’s MAGA or the radical right’s fault. If anything both sides are wrong and fueling the fire.
We do not want our TV networks catering to this president or feeding our nations decline into a fascist dictatorship where freedom of speech is inhibited by fear of Government reprisals like other dictatorship nations.
Why are ABC and many networks only silencing and punishing one side at this time while allowing others to spew controversial and even hateful opinions at free will? How long do we let this continue before it’s too late?

Sign this petition to demand the return of the Jimmy Kimmel show and to uphold the principle of free speech for all. Let ABC know you will not support them or their advertisers until they stand for ALL Americans, not just for one party. Not just free speech for those who agree with our President.
Be proactive and tag and let brands that advertise on ABC know you will be boycotting them.
The entire nation is speculating about the shooters politics and motivation right now and Kimmel’s opinion wasn’t exactly anything radical, offensive, or unheard of by millions of Americans, and he did not condone violence or celebrate anyone’s death.
The only way ABC will care to do anything is if we hit them where it hurts, just like the FCC threatened to do. For us that means boycotting ABC and their sponsors until they realize that such attempts at silencing American opinions will not be tolerated.
