At a time when creditors are hesitant to lend, enter Brooklyn Public Library’s sixth annual “PowerUP! Your Business Starts Here” Business Plan Competition; the program celebrates and rewards the entrepreneurial spirit and enhances the vitality of the local business community.
Last year’s competition saw the most applicants ever: 461 participants representing 378 different business ideas and 75 submitted final plans, and we anticipate even more applicants as a result of the struggling economy and growing desire for workers to forge a personalized career path.
