Caribbean Heritage And Labor Unions To Be Celebrated At Annual Bronx Parade

BRONX, NY — New York State Senator Jamaal T. Bailey will host a parade on Saturday, September 20th, 11 am. The parade will step off from Eastwood Manor, 3371 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY at 12 noon, and continue down to Laconia Avenue and Boston Road, where the celebration will continue into Council Member Kevin C. Riley’s Summer Sounds Block Party for an afternoon of music, culture, and pride.

This annual event uplifts the vibrant history and culture of the Caribbean diaspora while honoring the tireless efforts and achievements of labor unions that have fought, and continue to fight, for fairness and dignity in the workplace.

This parade is also made possible by the contributions and sponsorship of the NYPD, Urban Dance Opportunities, and The Avril Show.

The event will feature lively performances, displays of Caribbean culture, and the presence of union members.
