Councilmember Inez D. Barron, Man-Up!, community leaders and groups will hold a march and rally against rising police brutality this Sunday, August 10, 2014 at  4:00pm.

We will assemble at the corner of Bradford St. and Riverdale Ave. in East New York, Brooklyn and march to the 75th Precinct at 1000 Sutter Ave. The rise and repetitive occurences of blatant disrepect and brutal treatment by the New York City Police Department has led to death, injury and unecessary  jail time for communities of color and must be addressed by all our citizens.

The 75th Precinct was identified by a recent article in the Daily News as the second highest precinct in New York City for issuing petty summonses to Black and Latinos residents. Various leaders and victims of police brutality and harrassment plan to attend.

When: Sunday, August 10, 2014

Where: Assemble and Rally at Bradford St and Riverdale Avenue

March to 75th Precinct (1000 Sutter Avenue)

Time: 4:00pm
