BMW Championship 2025: Scottie Scheffler Wins Fifth

BMW Championship 2025 : While the enthusiasm for the BMW Championship was at its peak, the skies were ready to pour over the field. The Caves Valley Golf Club has been drenched by the thunderstorms since Thursday, delaying the championship’s opening rounds. It was truly a patience test because the wet grass was not ideal for the Golf pros to play. Fortunately, the clouds paved the way for the natural warmth on the Golf Club’s grassy surface on Sunday. Scottie Scheffler didn’t lose the opportunity to trick his opponents to win his fifth title in Golf. It felt like this championship was destined to be in Scottie’s favor this season, which he accepted with grace.

Final Round of the BMW PGA Championship 2025

Owings Mills was thrilled with the tension among the players, who were trying to outscore the previous one. Scottie Scheffler made sure to surpass his opponents one by one with the swift move of the golf stick. Moreover, the last four shots of the evening decided Scottie’s fate, who surpassed Robert Mclntyre’s highest score. Three of his shots went under the 67th hole on the field, which made him win his fifth PGA title. Anyhow, his impressive skills on the field when most opponents fight under pressure are undeniably appreciable. He has successfully entered the list of the No. 1 Golf players who have ever existed in PGA history. Well, he’s the second on the list after Tiger Woods, who won the PGA Tour Title six times consecutively.

Scottie Scheffler’s performance in the Final Round

Scheffler’s knockout performance deserved a celebration, which he did by lifting his winning golf stick in the sky. At the par-3, his 17th pitching went into the golf hole set exactly 82 feet left of his hitting hand. The final statistical data of the game showed that he scored 15 strokes less than par with 265 strokes out of 280. Apart from that, this data is from the second round of the FedEx Cup playoffs, after which he headed for the next championship. The advantage of this move was that all the opponents would have to begin from the lead set by him.

Initially, Scottie Scheffler was supposed to be accompanied by Ted Scott, who was absent due to personal issues. Therefore, he suggested that Scheffler choose Michael Cromie, working for Chris Kirk, as his companion. Scheffler was amazing at the Golf Club and scored 66-65-67 strokes for the respective rounds to win the championship. He started the day fresh by surpassing Robert’s score in the final rounds of the game.

A gloomy day for Robert Maclntyre

Despite trying so hard, luck didn’t seem to be in his favor, as he continued to score bogeys instead of a score. Moreover, the two starting bogeys could have dropped his confidence due to an unsatisfactory beginning. Scheffler was four points behind Robert, which he smoothly turned into one by the end of the round. However, by the time he managed to score the third goal, Robert had managed to increase the lead by two. In the next shot, Robert missed the perfect shot into the hole again, while Scheffler was successful in this.

The next moment, you could see the game flipping over to Scheffer when he earned a birdie at the seventh. He was continuously moving to the points where he was confident of scoring a point, just like he proceeded to No. 11. Furthermore, he earned three consecutive shots in search of two, flexing his golf skills to spectators. However, MacIntyre found no luck in scoring a birdie after his 13th point, which frustrated him. It is quite justified because something inside you gets disheartened after a week-long streak of perfect puttings.

Other players on Scheffler’s performance

While other players faced frequent bogeys on the field, Scheffler only had 5 bogeys, not in a day but in a week. Moreover, even when Robert was losing his mind due to his stagnant score, he never failed to admire Scheffler’s skills. Apart from him, Rickie Fowler, another player, appreciated his Golf skills on the field, which were controlled and delicately handled. He had a tough time scoring points for a win and closed at 69 after his final shot of the evening. Additionally, he couldn’t secure his dream top 30 position in the PGA Tour 2025 list, which broke our hearts.

It might feel unfair, but England’s Harry Hall was the only player with a 69 score to secure his position in the top 30. He has had the chance to prove himself again, which he did by advancing to the next round of the championship, or the finale of the FedEx Cup. Many other players did an amazing job in fulfilling their personal and team expectations, such as Lucas Glover.  Lucas was the only player on the field, while Michael Kim was behind 10 points to the main source.
