Plot of Blue Lock Season 2

The leader of this initiative is Jinpachi Ego, a mysterious and elusive genius whose only objective is to restore the Japanese soccer team’s fame after they were humiliated in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Jinpachi will only be able to use the world’s finest striker, as was mentioned in the first season, and anyone who fails the Blue Lock program will never be allowed to play for Japan again.

A full season later, Yoichi and company are up against Japan’s U-20 soccer squad in a new battle that sets Blue Lock competitors against each other. Is it possible that they will survive the storm? The stakes are only going to become higher from here because the U-20 team tryouts ended in Episode 5.

The animation quality of season 2 has been criticized, though, as the show has settled into its groove. An animator recently told ComicBook.com that they “did the best” they could with the prevailing season.
