1. Serena Williams

Serena Williams (full name is Serena Jamake Williams) (September 26, 1981) is a former American tennis player who is considered one of the greatest tennis players ever. A player ranked no. 1 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association for 319 weeks (186 consecutive weeks). Serena has won 23 Grand Slam women’s singles titles, the most in the open era and the second-highest of all time. Serena announced her retirement in September 2022. 

2. Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka is a japanese tennis player born on October 16, 1997, to a black father and a japanese mother. She is the first Asian player to get world no. 1 ranking in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association. Regarding her achievements, Naomi is 4 4-time Grand Slam Champion (2-time Australian Open and 2-time US Open). In the year 2021, she decided to retire from the French due to mental health issues. But returned to competition in 2024. Osaka was the 1st woman to win successive central turtles since Serena Williams in 2015.

3. Sloane Stephans

Sloane Stephans is a professional player from America born on March 20, 1993, in Florida, U.S.A. She was the US Open champion in 2017 and has won 7 WTA tour singles titles. Stephens started her career in late 2007 at ITF Women’s Circuit. In 2008, when she was only 15, she defeated world no. 109 Melinda Cezink. In 2008 summer, Stephens got her first title in doubles at a low-level event in Wichita with her partner Christina Mchale. Stephans is currently ranked 85 in doubles. 

4. Sachia Vickery

Sachia is another famous American Tennis Player born on May 11, 1995. Her highest ranking in her career was no. 73 in the WTA rankings on July 30, 2018. She is doing well in junior performances and has won 3 singles and 3 double titles on the ITF circuit.  Her current ranking is 125 (on August 5, 2024). She is a player with positive attitude and dedication. 

5. Robin Anderson

Robin Anderson is an American Tennis player born on April 12, 1993. She started her career in college, where she attended ULCA from 2011 to 2015. She was included in the tennis team every year. She won the Honda Sport Award in 2014 and 2015 as the nation’s collegiate female tennis player.  

6. Asia Muhammad

Known for her unique style of playing doubles and volleys, Asia was born on April 4, 1991. Her highest rank in singles is 19 (achieved on August 19, 2024), and 124 in doubles (April 8, 2024). She has achieved 11 doubles titles on the WTA tour, 4 doubles titles on the Challenger tour, and 14 singles and 35 doubles circuits on the ITF circuit. Her current ranking in singles is 824. NCAA champion Tim Blenkiron coached her. He started coaching when she was very young.

7. Coco Gauff

Coco Gauffwas born on March 13, 2004. She is a young American professional tennis who has won 7 singles titles, including the 2023 US Open. Coco won 9 career doubles, including the French Open in 2024. She has had success since she was a teenager. Her highest ranking is no. 2 on June 10, 2024, and her current ranking is no. 3 at the very young age of 20. Apart from all these achievements, she ranks no. 8 as the Best Black Women’s Tennis Player of All Time. 

8. Taylor Townsand

Taylor was born on April 16, 1998. She is a professional tennis player from America and got the highest ranking of 46 on August 19. 2024 in singles and 5 on June 12, 2023 in doubles. She has won one Grand Slam title in 2024. Taylor is a left-handed player known fr her remarkable performance on the field. She is famous publicly for her comeback stories and is seen as inspiring many people. 

9. Angela Haynes

Angela Haynes was born on September 27, 1984, and is a former American Tennis Player. She is well known for her competitive nature and decisive game. She was ranked in the top 100 tennis players in the United States. She was 6 times 1st runner up in the Grand Slam doubles game in the US Open. Angela retired in 2014.  

10. Alycia Parks

Alycia Parks is a young and new talent in the world of tennis. She was born on December 31, 2000. She achieved a WTA singles ranking of 40 on August 14, 2023. She is known for her powerful serve and strong sportsmanship. At a very young age, Alycia has established herself as a promising player. She was first runner-up 2 times in Grand Slam in the French Open and US Open. currently, her ranking in WTA singles is 117.
