Robin Wilson, considered the first Black female pioneer of eco-friendly design, sustainability, & hypoallergenic issues, will collaborate with WestPoint Home, key manufacturer and global marketer of home textiles, to create bedding & bath collections.

Robin will work closely with WestPoint Home to co-develop sheets, comforters, quilts, towels, and utility products under the moniker, Clean Design Home x Martex.

Wilson, who founded her New York-based company, Robin Wilson Home, in 2000, has built a lifestyle brand that’s topped $82 million in revenues at wholesale.

Robin is the first woman to have a line of custom cabinetry sold at 400 dealers in the U.S. She is the second Black woman, after the late B. Smith, to have a product line sold at Bed Bath & Beyond. Wilson was also featured prominently in the November 2020 issue of Inc. magazine, appearing on its Female Founders 100 list.

“What an exciting moment to know that my hypoallergenic brand would be launching under a newly trademarked brand name, Clean Design Home, which will include a long-term licensing deal to bring an affordable luxury collection of textiles to every room in the home — and to the hospitality clients who have already purchased my branded products,” said Wilson. “Martex, a global textile brand that maintains control of its entire supply and distribution chain, to take my trademarked brand, Clean Design Home to both consumers and the hospitality industry. Our focus on high-end materials, durability, and eco-conscious design for consumer will make this collaboration a great chance to transform rooms into wellness spaces.”

The relationship is an exciting new venture for the venerable Martex brand.

“Robin Wilson brings a new aesthetic and level of expertise in the world of clean design and anti-allergen products that we have not explored up to now”, said WestPoint Home CMO, Regan Iglesia. “With her unique point of view and our wide platform, we expect this to resonate with today’s consumer.”

Founded in 1813, WestPoint Home is a leading manufacturer of home textiles in the U.S. More than 200 years of history make the company an expert innovator in the bed and bath linens industry, a pioneer with a rich heritage in home fashions with an in-house portfolio of brands that includes Martex, Vellux, Luxor, Utica, and Lady Pepperell, WestPoint Home is also the licensed manufacturer and distributor of products under the Southern Tide, IZOD®, and Rachel Ashwell labels.

As the company evolves to stay on top of an ever-changing marketplace, it exceeds the expectations of its customers by always keeping their needs to the forefront.
