Since its release in 2021, Wordle has steadily garnered a place in logophile’s hearts. The game is deceptively simple. Players have to guess a five-letter word of the day. The game offered no clues. Players can start with any word they like, and when they enter that word, Wordle tells them how many alphabets in their guess are in the word of the day. It colors the letters into green, yellow, and grey. The green ones are in the correct place, the yellow ones should be placed in a different position, and the grey ones are not in the word and should be discarded. The player then has to make a second guess based on these clues. They have to guess the correct word in six tries. We are sharing the secret tips and tricks we use to solve Wordle. Take a peek to learn more about acing it every day.
Why is Wordle So Popular?
Wordle has a worldwide player base. Its immense popularity stems from these reasons;
- It is straightforward to play.
- It takes little time.
- It can be solved, unlike many other games, in which players often leave midway.
- The difficulty level varies daily, keeping it interesting even for long-time players.
- It is suitable for developing reasoning and vocabulary.

How to Win Wordle Every Day?
When a player wins a game of Wordle, it starts their ‘Streak.’ The streak refers to the continued success of a player at Wordle. People like to maintain their streak. So, if you are just starting Wordle or want to keep a longer streak, we have some of the best foolproof tips and tricks to win at Wordle every day. Let us see what they are!
Tip Number 1: The First Guess
The first order of business is getting the vowels early on. Most Wordle words generally have two vowels. The first guess should be a word with as many vowels as possible.
A, E, I, O, and U are called vowels.
The other remaining alphabets are called consonants.
So, try words with as many vowels as possible in the first guess. The WordleBot would like to start with CRANE, which has two vowels. Every player has their favorite starting word. Our personal favorite is ARISE, which has three vowels.
The best five starting words to win Wordle are;
- ADIEU
- IRATE
- AUDIO
- GUIDE
- ARGUE
These are some of the best words because they have three vowels and common consonants like T, D, R and G.
These starting words will usually net you atleast a vowel and a consonant. These clues can help you plan your second guess. Moving on to that.
Tip Number 2: The Second Guess
The second guess can go one of these two ways;
i) Build up on the clues you got in the first guess.
ii) Try guessing a word with newer alphabets that are not a part of the first guess.
i) Build up on the clues you got in the first guess.
In this scenario, players build up on whatever clues they get after the first guess.
Let’s say you have something like this;
Here, we got one vowel after the first try, so we tried to include that vowel in the second guess. We managed to turn its placement from yellow to green and got an ending alphabet as well. But, with this guess, we still have to find the second vowel.
So, with this strategy, we use whatever information we get from the first guess and add to that in the second word.
ii) Try guessing a word with newer alphabets that are not a part of the first guess.
In this strategy, we see what clues we get after the first guess and try to guess a word that does not have them.
In the same example as the picture above,
ARISE is our first guess; we get A as yellow, and the rest are grey.
So, for our second guess, we will try a word that does not have A but other letters. Let’s say CLOUT.
With this word, we will learn about the second vowel and if other common consonants like C and T are present.
Tip Number 3: The Consonants Conundrum
The goal is to guess the correct word on the third try, if not the fourth. Most Wordlers become proficient at spotting patterns and guessing the correct word after two guesses.
The third guess requires a bit of multitasking.
i) Players have to figure out the consonants.
ii) They also have to decide on consonant combinations.
iii) Players must also think about alphabet repetitions.
The third is the most crucial guess, which decides how fast you can solve this Wordle. You need to think about all the three points mentioned above.
Try to include the most commonly used consonants, like S, T, Y, C, R, H, N, M, and D.
Try to think of consonant pairings, especially if your first two guesses have given you only one vowel. In such a case, the consonants must make up the extra vowel sound. That’s what we like to call the ‘vowel-y’ sound. Some common consonant pairings that you can use are,
CH, DH, WH, TH, RT, RY, TY, CY, SH, CT, ST, PL, FL.
Repetition is a sneaky thing that Wordle uses to challenge players. Sometimes, a vowel is repeated; on other days, consonants. You can start thinking about repetitions if your second guess does not give you more vowels.
Why The Y?
Include Y in the third guess if you have only one vowel after the second guess. Many words with one vowel end in Y, or try to include it in the second guess.
Some Y-ending words are;
Amity, Hanky, Alley, and Ebony.
Tip Number 4: The Keyboard
In addition to the colored clues on the board, you must pay attention to the letters remaining on your keyboard. If you have atleast two or three clues, some green and some yellow, play around with combinations with the keys left on the keyboard.
PRO TIP: OUR SECRET TIP
We like to use O as a filler alphabet between the green or yellow alphabets to see if we can spot the pattern. This trick works very well if you have two greens and a yellow. Pro Wordlers can do it with all yellow, too. This visualization trick helps reduce guesses if you can spot a pattern early on.
