Creating a food revolution that’s loved by stars including Tabitha Brown and Mark Cuban, we introduce you to entrepreneur Deborah Torres, who is single handedly changing the food landscape as founder and CEO of plant-based San Francisco Bay area hotspot Atlas Monroe about Black entrepreneurship, why the company rejected a 1-million-dollar investment and haven’t looked back since, and how they’re spearheading healthy habits in the Urban community.

Atlas Monroe was named BEST Fried Chicken by Time Magazine’s “Extra Crispy” at The National Fried Chicken Festival, and has grown quietly during the pandemic, taking a strategic approach with integrity and class.

Actress Tabitha Brown posted a video on social media about Atlas Monroe last fall, which led to Atlas Monroe appearing on Shark Tank and garnering national attention. If their impressive journey wasn’t enough, Deborah is on a mission to bring Atlas Monroe to Popeyes, Subway, Whole Foods and grocery stores nationwide.

After Deborah’s father was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes a few years ago, her family decided to switch to a raw vegan diet for 90 days. During this time, Deborah started experimenting with plant food flavors and textures. In her research and development, she learned the combination of ingredients and flavors could match animal product textures, and even better – match and rise above the taste, too.

Deborah became obsessed and fascinated with this new world of transforming plant foods into delicious favorites like raw lasagna, tacos, burgers, pizza, cheeses and more. With mouthwatering food and innovation, Atlas Monroe offers vibrant, bright, and utterly delicious concepts. Global favorites include succulent ribs, Cajun fried chicken, deep fried stuffed turkey rolls, classic Caribbean rice & peas and more.
