The organization was created out of recognition that inequality in business practices exist and that the Black consumer is often the victim of systematic discrimination in the marketplace as evidenced by disclosures of discriminatory practices in a number of enterprises.

Black Power will continue to grow to new heights and levels in the years to come in America. I am excited to be witness such gains, and remain steadfast in doing my part to change the economic landscape of America.

In order to be an effective marketer and a progressive human being for that matter, you have to take breather and look in the mirror. What are you doing that’s working and what can you do to improve?

We so love shoes that we will buy shoes that are not comfortable. Podiatrist and Chiropractors benefit from the design structure that tortures our feet and alters our posture. Beauty and discomfort are not synonymous with shoes. Long term effects of joy and pain can be detained and in most cases prevented until nature takes its course in biological graphics. As time taxes us with age we can defy the dreaded day when we can no longer strut in high heels by taking care of our feet.

As Hazel climbed Ford’s corporate ladder, there were many firsts as an African American in his storied career. But Hazel’s humility keeps him solidly anchored to the ground.

To understand death is to understand life, because death is an inevitable step in the journey of life. Many African-American have debts—a mortgage, education or car loans, regardless of whether they have dependents or not. And final expenses can run into the thousands. If something were to happen to the breadwinner of the family, who would be responsible for such debts?

Don’t turn your focus away from what is truly important. Instead, learn to measure your success by the balance and happiness you achieve in your life on a whole…I wish you luck in achieving that life that you want and need!
