Is a deal with the devil being made to stop Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani from becoming the next mayor of New York City?

Will Republican wolf-in-Democratic-clothing, Mayor Eric Adams, accept a position in the MAGA administration of Donald Trump to give former Governor Andrew Cuomo a better shot at becoming the next mayor? What deal with Trump has former Governor Cuomo agreed to as he continues his listless, lifeless New York City mayoral campaign?
That these two politicians would be coordinating with Trump to stop Mamdani tells us everything about who most establishment politicians work for.
The reported news that Donald Trump is trying to rig New York City’s Mayoral race, by making backroom deals with Adams and Cuomo, stinks to high heaven. As Public Citizen democracy advocate Jon Golinger put it “This smells like a scheme so rotten even Boss Tweed would say it stinks.”
Many of us will remember that Trump claimed he would be “draining the swamp.” Is anything swampier than basically bribing Adams to step aside in the mayoral race in a desperate attempt to help Cuomo, who was already been soundly beaten by Mamdani in the mayoral primary?
The voters of New York City should be outraged by this state of affairs. Regular New Yorkers are struggling during tough inflationary times, but most of our politicians, on both sides of the political aisle, are doing very little to address the concerns of average New Yorkers. But they will spare nothing to allow the wealthy to horde more of the wealth—which is largely made by the productivity of American workers.
But now that there is a candidate, Mamdani, who is championing the concerns of working-class people, we see a bipartisan attempt aimed at stopping him from tackling the affordability crisis in New York. The political ascension of Mamdani has shaken our corrupt political establishment which is only truly beholden to the wealthy and Wall Street. Besides the actions of Trump, Democratic leaders are doing everything in their power to ostracize Mamdani. Many still refused to endorse him, despite the will of New York City’s Democratic voters.
Trump, who fooled many white Americans, with his phony populism, is now being again exposed as nothing more than a son of wealth trying to help his rich friends.
The big bullshit bill that Trump just forced down the throats of Americans, by bullying even some Republicans, was done to give rich people, who don’t need it, yet another tax-break. These wealthy people are unpatriotically greedy, and they are evil. They don’t give a damn about working Americans. They only like to exploit them.
Why would our “leaders” be so concerned about someone who is running on a platform of making New York City affordable? Could it be they know that keeping things unaffordable is extremely profitable for the economic exploiters who stuff politicians’ pockets with political contributions?
This news, about Trump’s offer to Adams, should tell New Yorkers whose side Adams and Cuomo are on. They both work for Wall Street—which is why neither of them showed up (Mamdani did) at last week’s Wall Street DEI protest, spearheaded by Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network.
And now we see that both Adams and Cuomo are on the same team as Trump.
Adams’ scandal-plagued mayoral tenure has been a bitter embarrassment. He has betrayed Black New Yorkers for his personal benefit and is a utter disgrace to our race. History’s door must be shut tightly on him—and we must expel Adams from our memory, as we do feces with a bowel movement.
Cuomo is also being unmasked as unprincipled in this moment.
We now know that Cuomo’s former fights with Trump was just performative. If Cuomo had any scruples, would he be accepting help from Trump in his vainglorious bid to become the next mayor of New York City?
