In response to the government-sponsored genocide happening in Tigray, Ethiopia — a war that has utilized starvation and rape as war tactics and left 4.5 million people in desperate need of assistance — a woman-led, independently organized group MOTEMBI will be assembling in protest on April 30, 2021 at City Hall Park, lower Manhattan, from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Ethnic-based genocide, mass rape, and looting have ravaged Northern Ethiopia for over 170 days now. Over 60,000 Ethiopians are victims of ethnic-based murder, and rape of young girls and women. Rape and starvation are being used as weapons of war.

Please wear your mask and join us to help spread awareness about the atrocities happening in Ethiopia.

MOTEMBI is a New York City women-led group that is dedicated to spreading knowledge about the genocide in Northern Ethiopian region. Come out and march against the oppressive Ethiopian government, which has wreaked havoc—inflicting immense violence on innocent lives.
