The Fire Trial

The second trial of Agatha All Along Episode 4 added charm to the season’s 4th episode. Unlike the previous trial, where the witches had to brew a portion to save themselves from poison, this time, it was a curse on Alice’s family for generations that had to be broken. The curse was broken in a fire trial as the witches’ coven sang the Ballad of the Witches’ Road(which was recorded by Lorna Wu, Alice’s mother).

This ballad song was revealed as a protection spell for the generational curse that Alice’s family had. This protection spell would never lose its powers. However, it is unclear why this song breaks Alice’s family curse; the coven sang this version and managed to pass the second trial of the Witches’ Road in episode 4.

What happened to Teen in Agatha All Along Episode 4?

The Witches’ Coven celebrated after passing their second trial along the Witches’ Road, but the celebration seemed quite short-lived. After exiting the fire trial, Teen seems to join Sharon Davis(the former Green Witch) on the Witches’ Road to heaven or hell. Teen is injured by a glass shard after the second trial, dropping on the ground and bleeding severely. After this incident, Agatha seemed to care more for the boy.  Jennifer Kale(the potions expert) makes a potion that miraculously heals Teen’s injuries.

Agatha seems to be by the side of Teen when he wakes up from his healing sleep. At first, the conversation is heartful but suddenly turns to the dark side when Teen asks Agatha about his son’s death. Agatha returns to her cold avatar, leaves Teen, and joins the other witches.

Rio’s end comment to Agatha raises mystery

By the Agatha All Along Episode 4 ending, the biggest talking point is the end comment of the episode. After the witches’ coven discusses the battle scars, Rio(Green Witch) emotionally reveals Agatha as her scar. She explains she loved someone and hurt their feelings by doing her job, referring to Agatha, her former lover. Later, by the end of Agatha’s All Along Episode 4, Rio and Agatha share a long-intimate hug. When it seems that Agatha is about to go in for a kiss with Rio, she stops and tells Agatha, “That boy isn’t yours.” Agatha pulls away after hearing this, giving Rio a dubious smile. Another episode, Another mind-blowing Cliffhanger!

This comment links the fan-held theory that Teen is Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch. However, Rio comments to Agatha that Teen is not her son and debunks this theory. But how did Rio Vadal know this? The comment raises more intriguing questions regarding her identity and true intentions.
