Golden Globe Awards begin with the intention of honouring excellence in the entertainment industry. Appreciation should be given to every person who works to shape society so that they feel honoured. Golden Globe Awards honour actors who have done incredible work in the industry and bring changes in the world through their work. Black people need this type of motivation that helps them to enhance their skills not only for themselves but also for the future generations who are fans of these celebrities. These types of appreciation and success stories inspire many other people and give them the courage to come out of their comfort zones and fight for their rights. The black people are now a prominent part of the entertainment industry and they equally contribute to society as other people are. Black people face disparity because of their dark skin tone the Golden Globe Awards honour black actors who make incredible work in the field of entertainment because the Art of any person should be appreciated. Many best black actors feel appreciated and also inspire many other people who want to become like them. Daniel Kaluuya got an award for supporting film actor. The only black person to win in that category is the Late Actor Chadwick Boseman was awarded Best Actor in Motion Picture Drama for his performance as a talented Jazz Musician he got this gratitude through a Golden Globe award and he became the second posthumous Winter in the categories history on the behalf of the late actor the actor’s wife Semen Ledward Bosman accepted the award and give an emotional speech. He is such a versatile actor his death at an early age shocked the industry and the contribution given by him to the industry is unforgettable. The second Black woman who got a Golden Globe award for her incredible acting as a lead actress in a drama film was Andra Day and the very first black woman to win a Golden Globe award was Whoopi Goldberg in 1986. There are some more artists that received Golden Globe awards such as Kemp Power and co-compose Jon Batiste who won the Best Animation Motion Picture award at the Golden Globe. But for very little time recognition has been given to Black people for their work otherwise they don’t even get a nomination. There is still white people’s domination in these awards. There is still the domination of white artists giving appreciation for their work, no nomination and winners belonging to black people over the last two decades black people’s presence has not been seen as voting members of the HFPA. Over the past few years, they have noticed that zero BIPOC winners do not even get the nomination, which is so unfair to them. This can make actors discouraged and disheartened. The years that had Zero BIPOC winners that occurred more than not are 2002- 2004,2006,2008, 2009,2011, 2013,2014-2016 and 2018 these all are the awards that had all non-POC winners. There is no black member in the organisation of HFPA which makes the chance of disparity. The Golden Globe Awards are still far from its mission of honouring excellence in the industry but this Disparity is the biggest hindrance to this mission. For this, every person deserves to be treated equally but they are still far from this thought. Every person doing the same amount of work is spending the same amount of time with full heart and energy so that is faith to treat them unequally. That is not acceptable. This type of behaviour demotivated other people. Not only that, they are also suppressing the finest talent of our country. More participation of the people in society will be beneficial for society as well as the Hollywood industry.

HFPA should have a permanent black member so that this disparity should be removed from these award shows.so that more and more artists get recognised for their mind-blowing work. The system should be more strict and raise and improve their selection criteria so that they can give more accurate honours to the actors that deserve to be appreciated. More and more efforts should be made so that more participation of Black people increases in the industry so that they get the place that they deserve because future generations should get equal rights in all sectors of society.
