Biden Pardons Son Hunter: A Closer Look at President Biden’s Decision

On Sunday night, the president of the United States Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Biden. Joe Biden along with his Spokesperson said that he will not use any of his authority to forgive his son, he further said that he totally believes in the American justice system and will trust in them. However last month there was no intention of the president to pardon his son as assured by the White House, but an announcement came on the evening of Sunday when he addressed the media along with his spoke’s person that he has pardoned his son Hunter Biden. 

Even the president was not satisfied with the police decision. He himself said that he could clearly see that his son was unfairly prosecuted. He also said that the day he joined the office, he decided that he would never interfere in the decisions of the Justice Department. He has also asked the Americans to support him as a father and a President.

Hunter Biden was found guilty on three felony charges which are related to his purchase as well as on the possession of a firearm when he was in a druggy state. In September, the younger Biden agreed with the charges and pleaded guilty. As a result of that, he was given three felonies and nine tax-related charges. For the tax-related charges, the younger Biden faced a $1.35 Million fine along with 17 years in prison. He was also given 25 years in prison for his gun-related issue. 

Hunter Biden is going to face the questioning secession on 12th December, in Delaware for the gun-related issue and on 16th December in California. In a briefing in the White House, John Biden said that he is proud that his son Hunter Biden has finally overcome his addiction and called him one of the brightest and decent men. 

However, Hunter Biden was with his family in Nantucket on a holiday in the last few weeks. In his statement released on Sunday, he said that he finally accepted and took responsibility for the mistakes he had made in his life because of his addiction. This addition has become very shameful and humiliating for him as well as for his family. Further, he added that during his time of addiction, he has surrendered many opportunities and advantages that have come his way to make his life. In his ending statement, he said that he will now devote all his life to serving the people who are still in addiction and are suffering in their lives.
