Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 12: A Review of Death and Drama – The aftermath of the murder of Sarah Atwood is shown in Christina Voros’s Yellowstone. The twelfth episode of the fifth season is titled Counting Coup. The Paramount Network’s western series is a short episode but this short episode is filled with intense drama along with John Dutton’s murder. 

Is Jamie the real killer of John Dutton and Sarah Atwood?

To investigate Saran Atwood’s murder, Police officers arrived at Jamie Dutton’s house, and started interrogating him about his relationship with Sarah Atwood. In the end, Jamie has no other options than revolving the truth about him being in a relationship with Sarah Atwood. Police officers then asked Jamie about Sarah Atwood’s things, to which Jamai neglected to give them Saran Atwood’s belongings by asking them about the warrant. When Jamie asked the policeman about the warrant they started to suspect him but they had to leave his house because they didn’t have any warrant. 

Jamie’s suspicious behavior filled the detective’s head with doubts and after leaving Jamie’s house they called Kayce and told him about the behavior of Jamie. The livestock commissioner asked his offices to conduct a proper investigation on the suspect and also gave them the information that Sarah’s murder has some connection with John’s homicide.

Colby Mayfield died in Yellowstone season 5 episode 12

In episode 12, when Carter was trying to give water to studs, suddenly the horses got out of control and Carter got stuck in the stable with the horses. At that time, Colby enters the stable and saves Carter from the horses. As a result of his saving, Carter Colby had to lose his life as he could not survive the attack of the wild horses. When Ryan got the news office’s best friend’s demise he was totally devastated. 

Grant Horton is threatened by Kayce Dutton.

Grant Horton was playing saucer with his daughter, after the day game was won the father and daughter duo entered their car, and Kayce followed them and held his daughter at gunpoint. Kayce further threatened Grant Horton to leave his family, telling him he also knew about Horton’s family’s whereabouts. Horton was left with no choice and head to accept his instructions. 

Conclusion 

In the last scenes of Yellowstone season 5 episode 12, we saw Carter in sorrow and blaming himself for Colby’s death. Beth was the one who gave him comfort and asked him to be a part of her family. There are two more episodes of Yellowstone season 5 left. It is not certain what will happen in the next two episodes, but it will be interesting to see on which new journey the next two episodes will take the audience.
