Noted for co-founding with her husband, Vince McMahon, the most successful World Wrestling Entertainment enterprise, Linda McMahon is a billionaire and one of the most powerful figures in the business as well as politics arena, with a wealth of 1.6 billion dollars as of 2024. With significant contributions in transforming WWE into a global entertainment empire, from a purely technical standpoint, Linda McMahon has reached a very impressive level not only in financial terms but also in the list of influential people of her time.
Building a Billion-Dollar Empire
The probable new Education secretary of Trump is known to be a very rich personality. And, Linda McMahon’s fortune primarily stems from WWE, the wrestling and entertainment juggernaut. The company has grown drastically well because it was McMahons’ leadership that took the WWE from a regional wrestling promotion into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. This growth in WWE can be reflected by the increased Linda McMahons’ net worth.
Not only this, she has diversified their investments in real estate and stocks besides WWE. And, this has contributed a lot to increasing her financial portfolio further. At the same time, Vince McMahon resigned from WWE as CEO in 2022 amidst controversies. Nonetheless, the company keeps on moving ahead and that adds to the family’s wealth.

Transition into Politics
Businesswoman Linda McMahon switched to politics while running for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut during 2010 and 2012. Although unsuccessful, the two attempts made her emerge as one of the new faces in the Republican camp. Her political career practically came off the blocks when President Donald Trump chose her as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration, SBA, in 2017. She served in that role until 2019 and oversaw the ‘Bouncing Back’ process by small businesses when the economy went down.
The end of a stint at the SBA never decreased the stature of McMahon and she remained a powerful figure within Trump’s orbit. Currently, she serves as the chair of the America First Policy Institute. She is part of a think tank and is president of the pro-Trump SuperPAC, America First Action. These positions keep her in key fundraising and advocacy spheres, further increasing her influence.
Recent Appointment as Secretary of Education
President-elect Donald Trump named Linda McMahon to be Secretary of Education on November 19, 2024. With this nomination, she will lead an agency that Trump promised to reform. However, while her experience in education policy is limited, Linda McMahon served on the Connecticut Board of Education and has been a trustee at Sacred Heart University for much of her life. Charter schools and school choice are among Linda McMahon’s biggest advocates, just like Donald Trump.

If this is confirmed, McMahon would be pivotal in the efforts to transform America’s education system, dedicating it to eliminating what Trump refers to as “left-wing indoctrination.” She is supposed to supervise measures for the advancement of school choices and federal oversight abatement in education and we hope she will continue her tenure of successful time as a leader.
