Donald Trump just survived an apparent assassination attempt after he was rushed off stage, Saturday, at an event in Butler, Pennsylvania, with blood on his face, at a rally, as gunshots were heard.

Reportedly, Trump had been showing a chart about border crossings when the shots rang out. On a video, it appears he was grazed, on his right ear, by a bullet.

In the background, screams from the MAGA crowd could be heard–where some were holding signs reading: “Joe Biden You Are Fired.”

Trump ducked down as Secret Service agents rushed the stage from every angle. Someone could be heard saying. “get down, get down.” The protective detail surrounded Trump and shielded him with their bodies. He was then escorted off stage into a SUV and taken away.

Some angry MAGA followers could be heard chanting “USA, USA” as Trump was whisked away. Before, and while getting in the vehicle, Trump pumped his fist shouting to supporters that he was fine.

Military personnel, including snipers, could be seen running around as Trump left.

Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, released the following statement: “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand released the following statement: “My thoughts are with former President Trump and all of those affected by this horrible act, and I’m grateful to law enforcement for their swift response. Political violence is completely unacceptable and has no place in American democracy.”

President Joe Biden condemned the shooting saying, “I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”

The suspected gunman, and at least one other person, were reportedly killed. The shooter, who was killed by a counter-sniper team, apparently fired the shots from atop a nearby building about 200-300 feet away possible with a AR-type Rifle.

UPDATE: The identified suspect is said to be Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
