Over the weekend, Westchester County Executive George Latimer baselessly accused incumbent Rep. Jamaal Bowman of “taking money from Hamas.”
Latimer made the comments in response to a voter who asked him why he had accepted money from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Bowman has demanded that Latimer retract the statement or face a potential defamation lawsuit, but Latimer is instead doubling down. Read more here.
